Longtime executive Betty Harn was appointed president of Chicago-based Marquette National Corp. and President & CEO of subsidiary Marquette Bank..Harn’s appointment was effective Aug. 1. She succeeds George Moncada, who is retiring after a 45-year career but will continue as a senior advisor and board member.Harn is the only woman leading one of the 25 largest banks in the Chicagoland area. Harn, who has spent 25 years at the $2 billion Marquette Bank, was most recently executive vice president and was on the boards of the bank and holding company. She has worked closely with Moncada for the past decade on the leadership transition. “Betty’s leadership, strategic thinking and dedication are key attributes that will guide her successfully as president & CEO,” said Marquette National Chair and CEO Paul McCarthy.
