FNBO to acquire Denver-based InBank, expanding Colorado reach

Omaha, Neb.-based First National of Nebraska, parent of First National Bank of Omaha, announced that it plans to acquire Denver-based InBankshares, Corp., and its subsidiary, InBank..The transaction expands FNBO’s regional footprint with the addition of InBank's 13 branches across Colorado and northern New Mexico. In particular, FNBO noted “a new footprint in Denver, Colorado Springs and southern Colorado,” which will round out the bank’s 21 locations in northern Colorado. With an estimated $35 billion in assets and locations in nine states, FNBO has been expanding through the summer. Acquiring the $1.4-billion-in-assets InBank follows FNBO’s announcement in June that it is acquiring Blue Ridge Bank & Trust in Missouri, adding eight branches to FNBO’s existing footprint in the Kansas City metro area.FNBO Chairman and President Clark Lauritzen praised InBank’s “experienced team, trusted customer relationships and entrepreneurial culture,” saying they “provide a meaningful foundation as we welcome new customers and communities to FNBO.”The banks anticipate regulatory approval by the end of the year.
