Wisconsin’s Bank First announces board transition

Manitowoc, Wis.-based Bank First Corp. directors Michael Ansay and David Sachse recently retired. The corporation appointed Mary-Kay Bourbulas as lead independent director and Erin Davis as director. .Ansay, whose retirement took effect in mid-January, was named a director of both Bank First Corp. and subsidiary Bank First in 2010. He served as chair of the board from 2013-22, when the position transitioned to CEO Mike Molepske.."Ansay's visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence have been instrumental in shaping the organization's success," according to Bank First. .Sachse, whose retirement was effective in mid-June, became a director of both the corporation and bank in 2010. .During their 14-year tenures, Bank First grew to $4.2 billion from $832 million in 2010. "Bank First significantly expanded its footprint across Wisconsin through strategic acquisitions and the establishment of de novo offices in new markets," according to the bank. ."Their visionary contributions have solidified Bank First's position as one of the top-performing banks in the country," Molepske added. "We are deeply grateful for their years of service and wish them all the best in their future endeavors." .Bourbulas became a director of the company and bank in 2019. "Her experience in evaluating and managing secured assets and troubled loans, coupled with her tenure in the investment services industry, brings valuable expertise to Bank First's board," according to the bank. .Davis became a bank director in April, and was elected to the corporation board in June.
