Bruce Alexander is retiring as president and CEO of Vectra Bank in Denver, Colo. .Alexander joined Vectra Bank in 2000, after the merger of 21 community banks purchased by Zions Bancorporation. Alexander is credited with leading Vectra Bank to $4 billion in assets from $1 billion when he joined.Alexander served on the Colorado Nominating Commission for the State Supreme Court of Appeals from 2008-14. He also served on the Kansas City/Denver Branch of the Federal Reserve and Colorado Bankers Association board. Alexander is expected to remain with Vectra Bank on a part-time basis as he transitions to retirement to help with projects. Zions Bancorporation, the holding company for Vectra Bank, will start searching for Alexander’s successor in the coming weeks.
