St. Paul-based Sunrise Banks hired Ethan McClelland as vice president of government relations and regulatory affairs..McClelland has 15 years of public policy experience in federal and state government and the private sector. He previously served as deputy director of member services for former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's leadership team and as parliamentarian for the House Financial Services Committee. He also has experience developing corporate government affairs programs and managing regulatory issues within the banking-as-a-service fintech sector.McClelland succeeds Rick Beeson, executive vice president of corporate development and government relations, who plans to retire at the end of this year after nearly 40 years with Sunrise Banks.McClelland graduated from Rhodes College, Memphis.
