Industry veteran Laurie Nordquist has been named to lead Wells Fargo's Upper Midwest community banking division..A 28-year company employee, Nordquist replaces Dave Kvamme, who retired in July after 35 years with Wells Fargo. In the role, she will oversee the company's operations in Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. She will be based in Minneapolis and oversee 350 Wells Fargo branches and 3,900 employees..Most recently, Nordquist was head of the San Francisco bank's personal and small business insurance division, a position she held for the past five years. Prior to that, she was executive vice president and director for Wells Fargo Institutional Retirement and Trust..She joined the company in 1990, serving in leadership positions overseeing sales and client servicing and was appointed head of the retirement business in 2003. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, she held positions in human resources and the retirement businesses at Minnesota Mutual Life and Marquette Banks.
