Grandview, Mo.-based North American Savings Bank promoted Nick Iborg to senior vice president and chief credit risk officer..Iborg will continue reporting to the chief risk officer while increasing his responsibilities across enterprise risk management, the investment program and asset liability management. He will also contribute to the bank’s annual and quarterly financial forecasts.Iborg joined NASB in August 2022 as vice president, credit risk manager following six years as a national bank examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. He is credited with playing a major role in improving NASB’s credit risk management framework and stress testing and portfolio sensitivity analysis, refining underwriting standards for non-qualified mortgage loans and making reporting more efficient for both the board and internal stakeholders. Iborg led the $2.9 billion bank’s multi-year implementation of its new CECL accounting standard and played a key role in rolling out NASB’s new financial modeling system, Empyrean.“Nick’s expertise, strategic mindset and proven leadership have strengthened NASB’s credit and risk management practices in meaningful ways,” said Chief Risk Officer Paul Hubbard.
