Effingham, Ill.-based Midland States Bancorp appointed Claire Stack CFO of the company and subsidiary Midland States Bank on a permanent basis..Stack had been serving in that role on an interim basis since March. She joined the company last November as corporate controller and has been chief accounting officer. A CPA, she has 15 years of accounting and finance leadership experience, including SEC reporting, public bank accounting, internal controls and regulatory and audit compliance. Stack has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and technology management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. “Claire has earned the trust of our organization through her strong leadership, collaborative approach and deep financial expertise,” said Jeff Ludwig, president and CEO of the $6.55 billion company.
