Indiana’s Old National Bancorp names commercial, corporate banking leaders

Evansville, Ind.-based Old National Bancorp hired Chris Doyle as president of commercial banking and promoted John C. Thurston to president of corporate banking. .Doyle has more than 20 years of experience in banking, most recently as commercial regional leader at a super regional bank. Thurston, who has three decades of industry experience, joined Old National in 2023. He was most recently corporate banking director. “This new alignment not only allows us to fully leverage the strengths and experience of both leaders, it also reflects the growing scale of our commercial business and our commitment to providing exceptional, highly individualized service to all our commercial clients,” said Chair and CEO Jim Ryan. Old National also announced changes to its treasury management and commercial middle office areas. Treasury Solutions & Payments President Joe Wicklander will take on responsibility for the bank’s foreign exchange business while building its fintech and liquidity areas. Tim Kocher will become chief service delivery officer from chief credit strategy officer. The changes came after Commercial Banking CEO Jim Sandgren retired April 1 following a 34-year career at the bank.
