Robert W. Mathiasen was appointed CEO of Willmar, Minn.-based Heritage Bank, effective April 1. .Mathiasen has served as chief operating officer, and succeeds Tom Geiger, who will continue as chair of the board. Mathiasen has spent 30 years in banking, 18 of which at Heritage Bank. He has served on the Minnesota Bankers Association Government Relations Board. “Bob has the experience, values and leadership mindset to guide Heritage Bank forward,” Geiger said. “I have great confidence in his ability to honor our history while building the bank of the future.”
