Hansen named Superintendent of the Iowa Division of Banking

Ron Hansen, chairman and CEO of Liberty Trust & Savings Bank, Durant, Iowa, has been selected by Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad to serve as Superintendent of the Iowa Division of Banking. Hansen's first day on the job will be November 16. ."I am confident that Ron's background, expertise and experience within the Iowa Bankers Association and Liberty Trust and Savings Bank will serve Iowans well," Branstad said..Hansen has been active in the Iowa Bankers Association for the past nineteen years serving as a board member, treasurer and the 2011-2012 chairman. Hansen has been active as well in the American Bankers Association serving currently on the ABA Membership Council, on the Government Relations Council Administrative Committee and the Community Bankers Council. He also serves on the Federal Home Loan Bank Administrative Committee.."I am honored to have been selected by Gov. Branstad to serve as Superintendent of the Iowa Division of Banking," Hansen said. "The division and previous superintendents have a long history of promoting a healthy financial climate contributing to the success of Iowa's citizens, communities and the banking industry.
