Charles City, Iowa-based First Security Bank & Trust appointed Brad Sloter to its Board of Directors..Sloter has a background in law and community service. After receiving a business administration degree from Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Coe College and a law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, he returned to his hometown of Charles City in 2013 to join Noah and Smith Law Office. He later became a partner at what is now the law firm Noah, Smith, Sloter, and Ellingson PLC.Sloter has served as outside legal counsel for First Security since 2017. “Working with First Security has been a pleasure because of the great people I’ve had the chance to work with over the years,” he said. Sloter and his wife, Makaila, own and operate Charles City-based Iowa Title Realty Co. First Security Board Chair Kurt Herbrechtsmeyer emphasized Sloter’s legal acumen and strong community ties. “Welcoming Brad as our newest director was an important first step in our effort to diversify and strengthen our board of directors,” he said. “He brings valuable perspective, a strong risk management mindset, and legal expertise to the table.”
