Sparta, Mich.-based ChoiceOne Bank hired Rob Bengel as vice president, commercial loan officer and Janis Vanderputte as VP, risk project manager. .Bengel has 13 years of commercial banking experience, including nine in lending. He was, most recently, a relationship manager in Grand Rapids, Mich. Vanderputte has spent 20 years in financial services, including as a financial adviser, licensed financial specialist and financial institution examiner at several organizations. “Each brings strong banking experience and a deep commitment to serving our customers and communities,” said CEO Kelly Potes, CEO of the $4.3 billion bank.
