Sparta, Mich.-based ChoiceOne Financial Services expanded its lending and credit teams by hiring six veteran bankers across Michigan..The hires — JP Avallone, Bradley Cook, William Eggett, Bryan Riley, Lindsay Spitler and Stephen Wizgird — have decades of combined experience in mortgage lending, underwriting, small business finance and commercial banking.Spitler, vice president and SBA program manager for the bank’s West Market, has 26 years of commercial banking experience, an MBA, and significant involvement in civic and professional organizations. Wizgird joins as VP and commercial loan officer for the Central Market, adding 25 years of commercial banking experience..Avallone and Cook, who were both hired as mortgage loan officers, each have more than 20 years of mortgage lending experience. Avallone has worked across the mortgage industry, and is active in housing education and financial literacy programs. Cook, a former ChoiceOne lender returning to the bank as a mortgage loan originator, has spent 24 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
