CBI Bank & Trust Executive Vice President and Chief Information officer Doug Sanders will retire early next month, ending a 36-year banking career..Sanders joined the bank in 1997, when it was known as F&M Bank. He was president and CEO of F&M Bank, which merged into CBI Bank & Trust in 2021. Sanders is credited with helping the bank grow its local asset base in Knox, Warren and Peoria counties grew nearly fourfold. He also oversaw the construction of new branches in Galesburg. He also helped lead the rebranding of F&M Bank to CBI Bank & Trust. “Doug has been a cornerstone of our organization and the community for many years,” said Central Bancshares President and CEO Dwayne Sieck. “To say his knowledge, expertise and leadership will be missed is an understatement.”CBI Bank & Trust serves roughly 50,000 consumers and businesses through two-dozen branches in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. The bank has more than $1.6 billion in total assets, while its trust and investment divisions manage more than $1.4 billion in client assets.
