Champaign, Ill.-based Busey Bank appointed Rod Murray executive vice president, market president of its new downtown market. .Murray has more than three decades of commercial banking experience, all in the Chicago area. He most recently served as executive vice president and head of structured finance & services at Green Bay, Wis.-based Associated Bank, where he had multiple leadership roles since 2010.“Rod’s leadership, commercial banking expertise, and knowledge of the Chicagoland market are a perfect fit for our client-focused culture,” said Sean Gallagher, EVP, regional president for Busey Bank.Murray and his team are focusing on building relationships and generating business opportunities in downtown Chicago.
