Champaign, Ill.-based Busey Bank appointed Sergio Cossio vice president and market president for Tucson, Az., effective Jan. 5. .Cossio is overseeing Busey’s commercial banking, wealth management and treasury management activities in the Tucson market as the company expands its leadership structure across its footprint.Cossio has 25 years of experience in private banking, consumer and commercial credit, liquidity and treasury management, foreign exchange and capital markets. Prior to joining Busey, he worked at Raleigh, N.C.-based First Citizens Bank and Trust and spent 17 years with National Bank of Arizona.“Sergio’s leadership qualities, financial experience and extensive knowledge of the Tucson market make him a strong fit,” said Kevin Halloran, executive vice president and regional president.
