Bridgewater Bancshares Chief Strategy Officer Mary Jayne Crocker will retire from the St. Louis Park, Minn.-based bank in February. .Crocker was appointed to the board of both the holding company and its subsidiary Bridgewater Bank. Both terms will start Feb. 16. Crocker is credited with playing a major role in Bridgewater’s growth since joining the bank two decades ago, and served as chief operating officer from 2014-2024. Chief Credit Officer Jeff Shellberg will transition to deputy chief credit officer next month, and will retire from Bridgewater in October 2026. Deputy CCO Katie Morrell will succeed Shellberg as CCO. A founding member of Bridgewater, Shellberg is credited with building and maintaining Bridgewater’s credit culture and risk management approach. Morrell joined Bridgewater in 2020, and has worked at Bremer Bank and RSM US LLP. Senior Vice President of Marketing Jessica Stejskal will fill the newly defined role as chief experience officer of the $5.3 billion bank in September. Stejskal joined Bridgewater in 2014. Chief Accounting Officer Laura Espeseth will transition to chief administrative officer. She joined Bridgewater in 2017, and has had leadership positions in the finance department. “Mary Jayne and Jeff are defining pillars of our growth story — leaders who helped build a $5 billion bank from the ground up with vision, resilience, and relentless focus,” said Chair and CEO Jerry Baack. “Their impact is enduring and what gives me the greatest confidence in our future is the caliber of leadership rising within Bridgewater.”
