Fargo, N.D.-based Bell Bank hired Derrick LaPoint as vice president of market development. .LaPoint has experience in government administration, including economic development and planning. Since 2018, he has been president/CEO of Downtown Moorhead, Inc. Previously, he was planning coordinator and planner for the city of Fargo. LaPoint has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. “As we expand our public finance division, Derrick will play a critical role in helping Bell broaden our services to local governments and municipalities,” said Jon Eisert, Bell Bank senior vice president/market development and public finance director.
