Louis Eckelkamp Jr., chair of the board and CEO of Bank of Washington, Mo., passed away July 11 following a brief illness at the age of 82..Eckelkamp led Bank of Washington beginning in 1983, when he succeeded his father as chair and CEO. Alongside his brother, William W. Eckelkamp, who became chair of the executive committee and CFO, Eckelkamp helped expand the bank while continuing the family's leadership legacy.A lawyer, businessman and hotel owner, Eckelkamp was a founding member of the law firm Eckelkamp Kuenzel LLP and served charitable organizations throughout his career.Eckelkamp graduated from South Bend, Ind.-based University of Notre Dame in 1965 and received his law degree from University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1968.
