Manitowoc, Wis.-based Bank First hired Christopher Kalk as north central region president. .Kalk has more than 20 years of experience in commercial banking. The area covers the Wausau area along with Rhinelander, Minocqua and Eagle River. Kalk’s hiring comes as the $6 billion Bank First expands in north central Wisconsin and the Greater Milwaukee area by acquiring PSB Holdings, Wausau, for more than $200 million. The deal is expected to close in December. Kalk spent seven years at Peoples State Bank before rejoining BMO eight years ago. “Over the next several months, Chris will work alongside the Bank First team to learn the bank’s culture, credit philosophy and relationship-based approach to banking while helping prepare for the integration of Peoples State Bank,” according Bank First. Kalk has a Bachelor of Science in economics and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
