Green Bay, Wis.-based Associated Banc-Corp promoted Steven Zandpour to executive vice president, head of consumer and business banking. .Zandpour’s promotion is effective July 1. He will succeed David Stein, who plans to retire at the end of this year following a more-than 20 year career with the company.Zandpour joined the $43 billion bank in January 2024 as EVP, director of retail banking, and was promoted to deputy head of consumer and business banking and the bank’s executive leadership team in January.“Steve’s people-first leadership and steadfast commitment to both colleagues and customers have been key contributors to our business growth and improved experience,” said Associated Banc-Corp CEO Andrew Harmening. “He is well-positioned to further accelerate innovation and deliver even greater value through enhanced products and services that align with our customers’ evolving needs.” Stein is expected to transition to EVP, strategic adviser and Madison market president on July 1, helping with the development of the bank’s strategic plan for the rest of 2025. He joined the bank in 2005 as regional president for the company’s former south-central region covering Madison and southwestern Wisconsin.
