Alerus appointed Tommy Olson as CEO and head of corporate banking for its operations in Arizona and Wisconsin..Olson is overseeing teams in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona, as well as Milwaukee and Pewaukee, Wis., while leading strategic planning and business development in both markets.Olson has more than 15 years of experience in financial services, with expertise in corporate finance, strategic partnerships and specialized client sectors including family office, manufacturing and aviation. He was a corporate banking executive for the Wisconsin region at Evansville, Ind.-based Old National Bank. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin River Falls, Olson also holds advanced degrees from Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, along with a certificate from the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the Wharton School.
