Derek Holt joined Alerus as senior vice president and Arizona market president. .Holt has more than 20 years of financial industry experience. He started his banking career as a teller, “building expertise in commercial banking, consumer and agricultural lending and team leadership,” according to the bank. “His commitment to client service and strong financial acumen have been key drivers throughout his career.” An alternate member of the Arizona Bankers Association Board of Directors, Holt has a bachelor’s degree in business from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. He also attended the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colo.
