I ran into a retired Minnesota entrepreneur recently, Michael Haase, who owns American Wildlife Art Galleries. The company owns millions of dollars worth of copyrights to work by Les Kouba, the world-famous wildlife artist. Kouba, a Hutchinson, Minn., native who died in 1998, has won two Federal Duck stamp competitions. During his career, Kouba also created the Old Dutch windmill logo, the Coca Cola logo and the logo for Eddie Bauer.
