NEB Corp merging charters in Wisconsin

NEB Corp., Fond du Lac, Wis., will merge its two charters, National Exchange Bank & Trust and American Bank..The combined bank will operate under the National Exchange Bank & Trust name. Leadership will include Eric Stone as vice chair and CEO, and Jim Chatterton, current CEO of American Bank, as president and chief operating officer..Current National Exchange President and COO Mike Burch plans to retire later this year, following completion of the deal in the second half.."While each bank has had its own individual identity, the similarities in management philosophy and product offerings will minimize employee impact while providing a positive customer experience," said NEB Corp Chair and CEO Peter Stone..The combined bank will have more than $1.85 billion in assets and 33 offices. National Exchange, founded in 1933, has 27 offices in southeastern Wisconsin and $1.4 billion in assets. Founded in 1968, American Bank has six offices and $491 million in assets.
