Longtime Minnesota banker John Crinklaw died June 23 at the age of 82..Crinklaw was president of Nerstrand, Minn.-based Bank Windsor from 1992 until its 1999 merger with Riverside Bank to form Minneapolis-based Associated Bank of Minnesota. Crinklaw left as CEO five years later to join former Windsor associates as president of the Minneapolis branch of Edina, Minn-based Crown Bank. .Crinklaw was a consultant following his 2016 retirement from Crown Bank, and served on the boards of Northfield, Minn.-based Community Resource Bank and Minneapolis-based MidCountry Bank until his death..Born on Nov. 22, 1941, in Edina, Crinklaw attended the University of Minnesota, and in 1960 enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1964. Crinklaw's banking career began the same year in Denver. He returned to Minnesota to work at Minneapolis-based National City Bank for more than 20 years. ."John's banking philosophy centered on personalized service and building strong customer relationships," according to his obituary.
