Insurance business renamed at Wisconsin bank

River Valley Bank of Wausau, Wis., has renamed its insurance subsidiary to River Valley Insurance. Prior to Oct. 15, it was called Manson Insurance. River Valley Bank acquired the assets of Manson Insurance in April of 2009. . "During the past year there have been many distractions that have become a burden to our new leadership team, the hard working employees of the insurance agency, and more than 7,000 loyal customers whose business we are deeply appreciative of," stated Steve Anderson, president of River Valley Bank. "In the end, the value of the Manson Insurance name is no longer what it used to be. So, we have decided to change the name and move on.". "River Valley Insurance is a name that's more aligned with the core values that govern the way River Valley Bank has done business," said Todd Nicklaus, chairman and owner of River Valley Bank. We have already applied those same core values to River Valley Insurance.". RVB is a full-service, family-owned community bank with 16 locations in Central and Northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. RVB also has mortgage offices in Sheboygan and Madison, Wis.
