Port Washington State Bank in Wisconsin donated $10,000 to help relocate a historic firehouse in Ozaukee, Wis. .The firehouse was built in 1881 following a mill fire. It developed alongside the village, becoming a brick structure in 1912 and later being the home of the Saukville Area Historical Society. The project includes moving the firehouse to the Ozaukee County Pioneer Village. “While our role is just one small part of a larger community effort, we hope it helps move this important work forward,” according to the bank. “It’s through partnerships like these that local history can be preserved and made accessible for future generations.”
