TS Bank community project assists 25 homeowners

Twenty-five curb appeal and home exterior projects were selected to receive assistance this year through a community partnership involving Treynor, Iowa-based TS Bank. .AMP for Neighborhoods allows homeowners in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to undertake such work. The program, which takes place through a partnership between TS Bank and local nonprofit The 712 Initiative, also includes a collaboration with Habitat for Humanity of Council Bluffs on home repair programming. Habitat construction crews can then make arrangements for internal home repairs..Funding was secured from several local businesses, according to TS Bank, and an anonymous donor also presented a significant gift. More than 75 homeowner projects have received assistance since the program started in 2021. Eighty-three applications were received this year. ."Individuals were encouraged to nominate themselves or a neighbor with outdoor housing needs," according to TS Bank. "Additionally, neighborhoods could apply for their own block initiatives. Project requests ranged from landscaping, siding, painting, fencing, driveways, sidewalks, windows, roofing and exterior doors.".The program is part of the $432 million bank's commitment to reinvest 10 percent of net income locally on an annual basis.
