Sunflower Bank donates $104K to K–12 schools through ABC program

Dallas-based Sunflower Bank donated $104,860 to K–12 schools and school systems that participated in its ABC Program for Education during the 2024–25 school year. .Sunflower also awarded $28,510 directly to students through its 2025 “Pay for As” drawings, which reward academic performance. Since its launch in 2001, the ABC Program has contributed more than $1.9 million to support education in communities served by Sunflower Bank and First National 1870.The $8.5 billion bank has already launched its 2025–2026 school-year campaign, through which customers can designate an ABC-registered school to receive a 2 cent donation per eligible transaction. The bank will donate $5 for each Elevation Checking account opened with a qualifying school code through the end of August 2026. “Pay for As” drawings are held twice annually, presenting students the chance to win $10 per A, up to $100. Five winners are selected per branch, with the current drawing period slated to last until the end of the year. “Our ABC Program for Education is one of the most impactful ways we emphasize our purpose as a community bank,” said Executive Chair Mollie Carter. “Each donation represents more than just a dollar amount for us. It’s an investment in the success of our students and in our schools’ ability to inspire them to learn.”
