Port Washington State Bank donates $10K for Habitat for Humanity build

Wisconsin-based Port Washington State Bank contributed $10,000 toward the build of a local Habitat for Humanity home. .Habitat for Humanity broke ground on the new home earlier this month in Port Washington. The home's basement is expected to be completed next month, and construction is expected to be finished by June 2025. New homeowners are expected to move in by September 2025. The project still has a $25,000 to $30,000 shortfall.."Habitat's mission to help families enter homeownership with financial support and education is admirable, and we want to be a part of helping people achieve that goal," said President and Chief Operating Officer James Schowalter. "A home is a dream for many, but not always reachable. A lucky family will soon see their dreams come true." .Port Washington State Bank and Ozaukee Food Alliance are hosting a school supply drive through Aug. 16. Donations are accepted at Ozaukee Food Alliance, 100 E. Green Bay Ave. in Saukville, Wis.; Feith Family Ozaukee YMCA, 465 Northwoods Road in Port Washington; Port Washington State Bank branches in Belgium, Port Washington, Saukville, Grafton, Mequon and Thiensville, Wis.; and Kohler Credit Union locations in Grafton, Mequon and Saukville. Monetary donations can be made through the Ozaukee Food Alliance's website, ozaukeefoodalliance.org.
