The National Exchange Bank Foundation donated $20,000 last year to support major improvements at Fireman’s Community Park in the village of Kingston, Wis.
The contribution was intended to help fund a community-led effort to upgrade the park into a safer and more engaging recreational space.
Kingston, a village of 284 residents in southern Green Lake County, launched a fundraising campaign with a $70,000 goal to install a playground structure, two pickleball courts and a full basketball court. The project was completed with support from local organizations, individual donors and volunteer labor, with construction overseen by a certified installer.
