Merchants Bank in Minnesota’s 10 Days of Giving drive nets 295,000 pounds of food

The annual Ten Days of Giving drive hosted by Winona, Minn.-based Merchants Bank last year collected a record-setting 294,859 pounds of food last year. .The total included nearly $133,500 in cash donations and 27,918 pounds of food. Donations were collected at Merchants Bank branches, as well as participating schools, businesses, and organizations throughout the area.For tracking purposes, each dollar donated is counted as the equivalent of two pounds of food. The 2025 total surpassed last year’s collection of 287,910 pounds and represents the largest haul in the drive’s history. Since its inception in 1989, the initiative has now generated more than 5.39 million pounds of food.The collection drive marked the program’s 37th consecutive year of supporting food shelf programs operated by Winona Volunteer Services.“The generosity we witnessed during these 10 Days of Giving was tremendous,” said Merchants Bank Chief Banking Officer Andrew Guzzo. “As always, I am amazed and want to share how grateful I am for the community’s support.”
