First Bank of Berne in Indiana donated $6,500 this month to three nonprofits..Donations included:$3,000 to the Markle Chamber of Commerce to help sponsor a live band for the town of Markle’s annual Fourth of July celebration. $2,500 to the Bluffton Bengal Brigade. The nonprofit provides students with chances to perform in regional marching band competitions. The donation is expected to enable the Bengal Brigade to re-wrap and repair its marching band trailer. $1,000 to the Adams-Wells Special Olympics to help send seven Special Olympians and three coaches to the Terre Haute, Ind., state track meet for four days.
