First Bank of Berne, Ind., donated $2,000 to the Boy Scouts of America and $1,000 to the Jay County Public Library this month. .The donation is intended to support the values of Scouting to help youth become leaders. “We are honored to support the Boys of America and the important role they play in developing strong leaders and responsible citizens,” said Berne Branch Manager Kaitlyn Roby. “Scouting provides young people with lifelong values and skills, and First Bank of Berne is proud to invest in a program that strengthens our communities and our future.” First Bank of Berne’s donation to Jay County Public Library is intended to support its summer educational and recreational programs.
