Fargo, N.D.-based Gate City Bank donated $40,000 to Anna Marie’s Alliance through the bank’s partnership with FHLB Des Moines. .The central Minnesota-based nonprofit serves eight counties and offers support to domestic violence survivors and their families through emergency shelter, advocacy, safety planning and legal services. The program includes housing for up to 24 months in a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home, and can house nine individuals at once. The funding is expected to help the nonprofit strengthen its infrastructure and expand its transitional housing program. The grant was through FHLB Des Moines’ Member Impact Fund, with $10,000 coming from the bank and a $30,000 match from FHLB Des Moines. “Creating a better way of life means standing up for those in need and making sure they have a safe place to call home,” said Ryan Cove, senior vice president of the central Minnesota region for Gate City Bank. “We’re honored to support Anna Marie’s Alliance as they work tirelessly to offer hope, healing and stability to survivors throughout our community.”
