Mattoon, Ill.-based First Mid Bank & Trust donated $25,000 to Young House Behavioral Health in Burlington, Iowa. .Young House Executive Director Eric Schilling said the donation is for a renovation project to turn the building into more comfortable space for community members looking for behavioral and mental health support. The project started earlier this spring and is expected to be finished this month. “It was a space that was underutilized and renovating it will give us the ability to serve more people and make the overall atmosphere more inviting,” Schilling said. “At a time when small nonprofits often struggle for resources, we are grateful for First Mid’s financial support to help provide an environment that truly supports every individual’s recovery.”
