Billings, Mont.-based First Interstate Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines granted $160,000 to a half-dozen Missouri nonprofits. .First Interstate provided the first $40,000, with FHLB Des Moines matching the gift 3-to-1 through its Member Impact Fund, a grant program supporting child care, housing, senior services and food security. FHLB Des Moines launched the Member Impact Fund in 2023. FHLB Des Moines awarded $19.4 million to member financial institutions in its latest funding round. The funding provides shelter, food and safety services. The grants included $100,000 to the Sullivan County Multi-Purpose Senior Center; and $12,000 each to the Mercer County Development Center; Putnam County Senior Center; nonprofit community organization Mission Possible Center; Harrison County Council on Aging Senior Center; and Albany Community Development.
