Abbotsford, Wis.-based The AbbyBank Foundation awarded grants to four local organizations as part of its Fall 2025 grant cycle..The grants are intended to support projects that promote safety, community engagement and youth development in the Abbotsford and Athens areas. Grants included:$2,000 to Athens, Wis.-based Trinity Lutheran Church to purchase outdoor tables and benches for community gatherings and events. “Creating spaces that bring people together strengthens the sense of community we all value,” said Vicki Halopka, AbbyBank compliance and CRA officer.$1,200 to Red River Riders Therapeutic Horseback Riding Inc. to purchase a new laptop, improving operational efficiency and recordkeeping for the nonprofit’s programs.$1,000 to St. Anthony de Padua Catholic School in Athens to install fencing around the school’s playground, creating a safer and more secure play environment.$500 to the Abbotsford Girls Cross Country Team to purchase a new team tent to shelter student-athletes during cross-country and track meets. Founded in 1986, the AbbyBank Foundation is the charitable arm of AbbyBank and has contributed more than $1.4 million to organizations across Abbotsford, Appleton, Gresham, Medford, Shawano, Wausau, Weston, and surrounding communities. AbbyBank has provided over $1.8 million in total support to the foundation since its inception.
