Abbotsford, Wis.-based AbbyBank Foundation awarded $10,500 to seven organizations in three counties. .Donations included: $2,500 to Marion Day Care to construct a building to expand the center’s childcare capacity. $2,500 to Westboro Volunteer Fire Department for a new fire engine. $2,000 to Wolf River Lutheran High School to purchase stools, new lunchroom tables and standing desks. The updates are also intended to allow students to select seating styles tailored to their learning preferences while having shared spaces. $2,000 to Zion Lutheran Early Childhood Center to improve the center’s outdoor playground. $500 to Bridge the Gap to purchase couches and loveseats for the organization’s main group meeting room. $500 to AbbyColby Crossings Chamber of Commerce to help purchase and install an electronic messaging center as a centralized communications tool for several local communities. $500 to Friends of the Colby Community Library to improve the library’s community room. The charitable foundation of AbbyBank, AbbyBank Foundation has donated nearly $1.5 million to local groups since it was founded 40 years ago.
