Kansas City, Mo.-based UMB Bank expanded its Corporate Trust and Agency Services business with project finance teams in New York and California..The team will be based in UMB Bank’s New York City office as well as its office in Costa Mesa, Calif., 35 miles south of Los Angeles. UMB opened a branch in Southern California last year as part of the expansion of its corporate trust team. As part of the expansion, the bank hired 13 people, all from private banking company Wilmington Trust. The team will provide third-party agency and account bank services for project finance transactions, including administrative agent, collateral agent and account bank services. Its coverage will include renewable energy, power, LNG, infrastructure, digital infrastructure, data centers and commercial real estate projects during both construction and operating phases.Brian Studdert, a veteran corporate banking and financial services executive, will serve as senior regional manager and lead the expansion in New York. Randy Kahn, who has more than 25 years of financial services experience, will lead the Project Finance Agency Services team out of New York.Annie Koutsavgousti was named national sales manager and will focus on expanding UMB's project finance administration platform.
