Lenexa, Kan.-based Small Business Bank was closed July 17 by the Kansas Office of the State Bank Commissioner. The regulator then appointed the FDIC as a receiver, which then entered with The Farmers State Bank of Oakley, Kan., to acquire deposits and purchase some assets of Small Business Bank.
