Regulators close California bank, the sixth failure in U.S. this year

California regulators closed the $736-million Nano Bank, Irvine, Calif., on Friday. The FDIC orchestrated a purchase-and-assumption deal with Sunwest Bank of Sandy, Utah, and Nano’s sole location will reopen as Sunwest Bank on Monday.
