Regions Financial Corp. recently acquired Montgomery, Ala.-based investment banking company The Frazer Lanier Company, Inc. .The deal is intended to strengthen Regions’ capital markets offerings and expand its municipal finance program. The regional bank operates more than 1,200 branches across the South, Midwest and Texas. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. “The acquisition supports Regions’ strategic priorities by expanding investment banking capabilities and enhancing services for public sector and institutional clients across Regions’ multi-state footprint,” according to a press release.
