Oklahoma City-based Bank7 said it would expand into New Mexico by merging with Century Bank, headquartered in Santa Fe..The combined company will have more than $3 billion in assets. As of June 30, Century Bank reported assets of $1.36 billion, deposits of $1.23 billion, and loans of $845 million. The bank has eight locations across New Mexico and loan production offices in Texas, which will be added to the dozen locations Bank7 operates in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. Bank7 said Century Bank “is one of the last remaining independent banks headquartered in New Mexico and the second-largest bank based in the state … It represents a rare franchise opportunity in Santa Fe.” The bank also said it intends to keep the Century Bank name and brand image.
