Baxter-based MidMinnesota Federal Credit Union is acquiring a branch in the central part of the state from Unity Bank, Augusta, Wis..The all-cash deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter. As of March 31, the Clarissa, Minn., branch had $27 million in deposits and $3 million in loans. The credit union has $834 million in assets. A town of less than 700 residents, Clarissa is 51 miles southwest of Brainerd in Todd County. As of April, Unity Bank had $587 million in assets, $516 million in deposits and 16 branches in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Montana. Hovde Group was financial advisor to Unity Bank.
