Mattoon, Ill.-based First Mid Bank & Trust recently opened a branch in Champaign, Ill..The branch, at 608 E. University Ave., Suite 101, expanding the presence of the $7.7 billion bank in the community it entered in 1992. The bank will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 1, with a public ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for noon. The branch will offer retirement and savings guidance, credit and borrowing assistance, education on how to prevent fraud, digital banking support and account services. "We are thrilled to open this new location and continue building meaningful relationships with our customers," said Stas Wolak, First Mid’s chief retail banking officer. "This financial center is designed to bring enhanced convenience and resources to the community while maintaining the personal service our customers expect."The bank has branches in Illinois, Missouri, Texas and Wisconsin, plus a loan production office in Indiana.
