Bloomington, Ill.-based First Mid Ag Services is acquiring Princeton, Ill.-based Ray Farm Management Services..The transaction is expected to close at the end of this year. First Mid Ag Services is a division of First Mid Wealth Management. A Princeton-based firm, Ray Farm Management Services has operated for more than 40 years in north central Illinois. First Mid Ag Services is one of the Midwest’s largest professional farm management and real estate firms, managing, brokering and valuing farmland while providing agricultural consulting services. The company has regional offices in Bloomington, Decatur, Kankakee, Mattoon, Peoria and Springfield, Ill.“We look forward to working alongside First Mid Ag Services to ensure continuity for our valued clients and know their farmland investments will be well supported for the future,” said Ray Farm Management Services Co-Founder Doug Ray. He is expected to join First Mid Ag Services as vice president and remain with the company through 2027. First Mid Wealth Management CEO Brad Beesley said the acquisition represents “an important step in our continued growth within the agricultural services sector,” strengthening its presence across Illinois and the Midwest.
