Clara City, Minn.-based Citizens Alliance Bank is acquiring two branches from First Security Bank-Sleepy Eye. .The deal, announced earlier this month, includes branches in the western Minnesota communities of Benson and Renville. The deal will expand the asset size of Citizens Alliance Bank’s holding company, Forstrom Bancorporation, to more than $1.5 billion. Citizens Alliance Bank has 10 branches in west-central Minnesota along with seven in western Montana. First Security Bank-Sleepy Eye has $193 million in assets, and will continue operating its branches in Sleepy Eye, Lamberton and Storden. “We look forward to serving the Benson and Renville communities and believe these locations will be a strong addition to our growing footprint in Minnesota,” said Citizens Alliance Bank President Chad Forkrud.
